Story Blueprints offers writing coaching and developmental guidance, while True Prose Editorial provides prose editing services. Because these services work differently, some policies apply specifically to one service.

Story Blueprints – Policies & Terms
Confidentiality & Intellectual Property
All client materials, manuscripts, concepts, and creative work shared through Story Blueprints remain the sole intellectual property of the client. Coaching conversations and submitted materials are treated as confidential and will never be shared, reproduced, or used without the client’s written permission.
Refund Policy
Due to the personalized nature of coaching services and the reservation of dedicated coaching time, all coaching package purchases are final and non-refundable.
If unexpected circumstances arise, rescheduling options may be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
Consultation Policy
The complimentary consultation is designed to ensure that Story Blueprints coaching is the right fit for both client and coach before any purchase is made.
Scheduling & Session Use
Clients are responsible for booking their sessions using the private scheduling link provided after purchase. Coaching sessions should be used within an agreed-upon timeframe unless otherwise discussed.
Clients are asked to provide reasonable notice if rescheduling is necessary. Missed sessions or repeated no-shows may result in forfeited session time at the discretion of Story Blueprints.
Creative & Editorial Guidance
Story Blueprints provides developmental coaching, feedback, and professional guidance intended to support the client’s writing process and creative goals. All feedback is subjective in nature and should be considered as guidance rather than mandatory direction.
Clients retain full creative control and decision-making authority over their manuscripts and may choose whether or not to implement any suggestions provided during the coaching process.
Coaching services are intended to support growth, clarity, and development, but do not guarantee publication, representation, commercial success, or specific creative outcomes.
Privacy
Information submitted through contact forms, scheduling platforms, and payment systems is used solely for communication, scheduling, and coaching-related purposes. Payment information is securely processed through Stripe. Scheduling services are provided through Calendly, and virtual sessions are conducted through Google Meet.
By using this website and purchasing coaching services through Story Blueprints, clients acknowledge and agree to the policies outlined above.
True Prose Editorial – Policies & Terms
Confidentiality & Intellectual Property
All manuscripts, concepts, characters, and other creative materials submitted to True Prose Editorial remain the sole intellectual property of the client.
Client manuscripts and materials are treated as confidential and will not be shared, reproduced, published, or used for promotional purposes without the client's written permission.
True Prose Editorial does not claim ownership of any client work or of changes made as part of the editing process.
Payment & Refund Policy
Because manuscript editing requires dedicated time to be reserved on the editing calendar, all payments are final and non-refundable once editing has begun.
If unexpected circumstances arise before the scheduled editing period, please contact me as soon as possible. Scheduling changes may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
If True Prose Editorial is unable to complete an agreed-upon edit, any payment for services not provided will be refunded.
Sample Edit & Project Acceptance
A sample may be requested before a full manuscript edit is booked. This gives me an opportunity to review the writing, determine the appropriate level of editing, and make sure the project is a good fit for True Prose Editorial.
Submitting a manuscript or sample does not guarantee acceptance of the project.
Final pricing, scope, and scheduling will be agreed upon before the full edit begins.
Manuscript Submission & Scheduling
Clients are responsible for providing the completed manuscript by the agreed-upon submission date and in the requested file format.
Significant changes to manuscript length or content after a project has been quoted may require an updated price or editing timeline.
If a manuscript is not received by the agreed-upon date, the editing period may need to be rescheduled based on availability.
Estimated completion dates will be provided before editing begins. While every effort will be made to meet those dates, unforeseen circumstances may occasionally require an adjustment.
Editorial Services
True Prose Editorial provides prose and line editing for fiction, with attention to areas such as voice, point of view, dialogue, emotional continuity, active prose, clarity, rhythm, flow, sentence construction, and word choice.
Editorial feedback is subjective. Suggestions and changes are provided to strengthen the manuscript while preserving the author's voice and creative intent.
The client retains full creative control over the manuscript and may accept, reject, or modify any editorial suggestion.
Unless specifically agreed upon in writing, prose editing does not include developmental editing, restructuring of plot or character arcs, fact-checking, legal review, sensitivity reading, or standalone proofreading.
Author Responsibility
The client remains responsible for the final manuscript and for reviewing all edits before publication, submission, or distribution.
Although reasonable care is taken during the editing process, True Prose Editorial does not guarantee that a manuscript will be completely free of grammatical, spelling, typographical, continuity, or other errors.
Editing services do not guarantee publication, literary representation, positive reviews, sales, awards, or other commercial or creative outcomes.
Consultation & Follow-Up
When included with the editing service, the post-edit consultation is intended to discuss editorial feedback and answer questions related to the completed edit.
Any included follow-up support must be used within the timeframe specified for the service and applies to questions directly related to the completed edit. Additional editing or review of substantial revisions may require a separate service agreement.
Privacy
Information submitted through contact forms, scheduling platforms, and payment systems is used for communication, scheduling, payment, and providing editorial services.
Payments are securely processed through Stripe. Scheduling may be provided through Calendly, and virtual consultations may be conducted through Google Meet.
Third-party services are subject to their own privacy policies and terms.
Agreement
By purchasing editorial services through True Prose Editorial, clients acknowledge that they have reviewed and agree to these policies and any project-specific terms provided before editing begins.
